PC Horror Games List A-Z

List of Horror games for PC. Alma Wade from F.E.A.R. releasing her anger.

This is a PC horror games list featuring horror games, psychological horror, survival horror, paranormal activity, and other types of scary games. Some of the games on this list are not strictly super-scary horror type of games, but they do feature scary enemies and other elements. Games which are related to vampires, demons, and hell are also on the list.

Horror games have come a long way over the years. Back in the year 2000, gamers and enthusiasts of the horror genre had a lot of fun playing games such as American McGee’s Alice. In the same year, there were several more horror games released. The Blair Witch trilogy, Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary, and Dracula: Resurrection to name a few.

As you can see horror games have been around for a while. But it wasn’t until the year 2005 when things got crazy and the horror games genre really took off.

Because in the year 2005, a ground-breaking horror game called F.E.A.R. was released. This first-person shooter, psychological and survival horror game featured a scary little girl called Alma Wade. She looks very similar to Sadako (known as Samara Morgan in the US version of the film), the scary girl from the Ring movies. When playing F.E.A.R., every now and then Alma will appear near you and start releasing her repressed rage. Just one glance at her is enough to scare the hell out of you.

Of course, besides the F.E.A.R. game series, there is a lot more for us to discover in the horror games genre. From about the year 2013 and onwards is when we started seeing a huge increase of horror games per year. As you can see more and more games are being released in this popular genre as the years go by. We certainly hope this trend will continue this way.

It is always fun to find a new game you can play. Have fun checking out this PC horror games list below and be amazed by what you can discover. Surely you will find many good new (and old) horror games you’ve never seen or even heard of before.
