As you can see our best PC games 2007 list is jam packed! We were blown away by the incredible games that were released in 2007 and we feel that our list has all the big PC games that were released in 2007. So have a read of our thoughts on some of the best PC games that were released in 2007!
There was just a crazy amount of first-person shooters released in 2007 and some really did make a big impression. Bioshock was released and the underwater world of Rapture really did capture gamers imaginations as did the great gameplay and all of the cool weapons. Another first in first-person shooters was the original Crysis which is a great sci-fi first person shooters which is one of the most popular first-person shooter series on the PC. Of course, any best PC games of 2007 list has to have Call Of Duty, but many people still say that the first installment in the Modern Warfare series is the best game to carry the Call Of Duty name. For some odd reason, Halo 2 was ported to the PC in 2007. While this was a great game on the original Xbox. Many gamers were disappointed that there were no new features added at all for the new PC release.
Some of the best PC games in 2007 were strategy/sim style games. Many gamers say this is the kind of game PC does best and we were certainly spoiled for choice in 2007. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Battlestations: Midway, Empire Earth III and Maelstrom were some of the biggest strategy games released. We are having a hard time thinking of any year that had as many high-quality strategy games as 2007 did.
There were a couple of great action-RPG style games in 2007. One of the most popular PC games in 2007 was Jade Empire. This was a port of an original Xbox game, but the PC versions were much, much better. With more content and improved graphics. This was made by Bioware and its martial arts/oriental setting was very popular with players. Hellgate: London was an awesome hack and slash style RPG set in a horrific London. You need to kill all kinds of evil monsters to get new armor, weapons and so on.
One of the most surprising games of 2007 was Lost Planet. This was made by Capcom and featured a beautiful frozen world with some very imaginative creatures. What made the game so much fun was the way it kind of played like an old-school arcade shooter. Where you need to just be running forward blasting everything in sight or you will die! The game was a lot of fun and did spawn a few sequels which sadly did not live up to this fantastic first installment.
As you can see we were only able to touch on a few of the best PC games 2007 here, but please have a good look over our list as 2007 was a great year in PC gaming.
