80 Days is an interactive fiction video game by Inkle. The game is a great example of branching narrative storytelling, in which the player’s choices will have an impact on the plot. In the year 1872 Monsieur Phileas Fogg has placed a wager at the Reform Club that he can circumnavigate the world in eighty days or less. The game follows the course of this adventure, as narrated by Phileas Fogg’s manservant Passepartout, whose actions and decisions are controlled by the player. Throughout the game, there are several secrets, Easter Eggs and hidden endings. 80 Days is somewhat inspired by the steampunk genre. It features some interesting elements such as sentient mechanical transport, hovercraft, submersibles and an entire city that walks on four gigantic legs. 80 Days will take you on an unforgettable adventure.
